If you've worn lipstick, you'd know that lipstick can make people feel powerful, confident, courageous, and empowered within moments of application. Through personal experiences, I found that there is power in lipstick, which is why I created LipRevolt with the hopes of using it to change the world. My lipstick is all about empowering people, inspiring people, and giving back to marginalized communities. My business is fueled by my life story, my passion, and my purpose, and of course, we are HellaBlack.

I’m a New York born, Caribbean bred, Ivy League educated lawyer turned entrepreneur who fell in love with shea butter and wanted to share that love with the world. Beurre was created as a natural solution to universal skincare needs. Through months of research, testing and failures, I found my passion in creating new formulations and products. At Holistically Vegan we believe that the vegan/plant based lifestyle doesn't just stop at what you put in your body, what you put on your body matters too. A lot of commercial products sold in the stores contain harmful chemicals, some are even cancerous. Do your research, I challenge you to look at the ingredients in the products that you use. Most of the ingredients you probably can't even pronounce, look up those ingredients.
Doing this research scared me, especially when a lot if the products were used my whole life. This is why I started using natural skin and hair care products. Eventually I started making my own products as well. In 2018 one of my son's had eczema, I bought all types of products to heal his eczema and either they didn't work, had a lot of chemicals, or were too expensive. I decided to take him to the doctor and they prescribed a steroid...I looked at the ingredients and researched and made the decision not to put that on my baby.

Hendrix+Lenox is a lifestyle brand inspired by the sons of founder, Lola Keyes Wood. Hendrix+Lenox creates opportunities for children to see images of black children, families and characters.
She wrote Adventures of Hendrix & Lenox: Safer at Home because, as mother to Hendrix and Lenox, she had been talking about the implications of coronavirus with her children. She couldn’t have imagined that she would have to talk to them about racism, police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement in quarantine but she wanted to address the climate. With this in mind, she decided to design a teaching tool for families to have difficult conversations.
Adventures with Hendrix & Lenox: Christmas in Quarantine is the second book in the series. Hendrix and Lenox are back to share how they plan to celebrate the holiday season this year.
